Breaker open
The system reports that a protective breaker or disconnect is open, so the battery is isolated.
Common causes
- Breaker tripped on overload or fault current
- Breaker deliberately switched off during maintenance
- Loose connection causing nuisance tripping
- Breaker hardware failure
Safe checks
- 1Locate the labelled battery breaker at the distribution board.
- 2If it is off, leave it off and contact a qualified installer — a tripped battery breaker is a protective event, not a reset routine.
- 3Never bridge or hold a breaker closed.
- 4Note the exact time the breaker tripped.
When to call a technician
Call a qualified technician if the device repeats the fault after a manufacturer-approved restart, shows a burning smell, has damaged or discoloured wiring, or if the symptom involves the battery, inverter power stage or any sealed high-voltage component.
