Not charging
The battery accepts no charge from any source and the state of charge does not rise.
Common causes
- Battery or inverter breaker open
- System in a standby, backup-reserve or self-powered mode that defers charging
- Inverter or BMS reporting a fault
- Battery at a temperature outside its charging window
Safe checks
- 1Check the battery indicator for any colour or pattern change and note it.
- 2Check the system mode in the owner app.
- 3Check that the battery breaker has not tripped, without opening any enclosure.
- 4Note whether the system refuses charge only at certain times of day.
When to call a technician
Call a qualified technician if the device repeats the fault after a manufacturer-approved restart, shows a burning smell, has damaged or discoloured wiring, or if the symptom involves the battery, inverter power stage or any sealed high-voltage component.
