Not charging

The battery accepts no charge from any source and the state of charge does not rise.

Common causes

  • Battery or inverter breaker open
  • System in a standby, backup-reserve or self-powered mode that defers charging
  • Inverter or BMS reporting a fault
  • Battery at a temperature outside its charging window

Safe checks

  1. 1Check the battery indicator for any colour or pattern change and note it.
  2. 2Check the system mode in the owner app.
  3. 3Check that the battery breaker has not tripped, without opening any enclosure.
  4. 4Note whether the system refuses charge only at certain times of day.

When to call a technician

Call a qualified technician if the device repeats the fault after a manufacturer-approved restart, shows a burning smell, has damaged or discoloured wiring, or if the symptom involves the battery, inverter power stage or any sealed high-voltage component.
