Communication error

The inverter runs but stops reporting to the monitoring platform, or internal modules stop talking to each other.

Common causes

  • Wi-Fi or LAN connection lost, or router credentials changed
  • Datalogger or communication module unpowered
  • Cloud service outage
  • Internal communication fault between control boards

Safe checks

  1. 1Check that the datalogger or monitoring module indicator is lit.
  2. 2Confirm the local network is working with another device.
  3. 3Power-cycle only the communication module using the manufacturer-approved procedure.
  4. 4If the fault is internal (displayed on the device itself), contact your installer.

When to call a technician

Call a qualified technician if the device repeats the fault after a manufacturer-approved restart, shows a burning smell, has damaged or discoloured wiring, or if the symptom involves the battery, inverter power stage or any sealed high-voltage component.
