Fan fault
The inverter reports a cooling-fan problem, usually accompanied by a warning rather than a full shutdown.
Common causes
- Fan obstructed by debris or insects
- Fan bearing wear after years of service
- Fan connector disturbed during previous service work
- Ambient conditions causing the fan to run at maximum continuously
Safe checks
- 1Confirm nothing is stored against the ventilation openings.
- 2Note whether the inverter is derating or shutting down at the same time.
- 3Do not remove covers to reach the fan — cooling assemblies sit next to live conductors.
- 4Report the code and how often it appears to your installer.
When to call a technician
Call a qualified technician if the device repeats the fault after a manufacturer-approved restart, shows a burning smell, has damaged or discoloured wiring, or if the symptom involves the battery, inverter power stage or any sealed high-voltage component.
